The trial of Juan David Ortiz on October 21 in San Antonio

MICHAEL TIMOSHENKOV

LAREDO, TX. – District Attorney Isidro Alaniz said that nothing will change in the case of the State of Texas against the alleged serial killer Juan David Ortiz that is aired in San Antonio.
The evidence is solid, sure and it will be Judge Oscar J. Hale who will preside over the case.
Interviewed at an event at TAMIU, Prosecutor Alaniz said that witnesses will be appearing to strengthen the evidence.
Recently the former Border Patrol agent was attempting to nullify some elements that are central to the case, such as suppressing the confession he made during his arrest.
In addition, the defense of the defendant Ortiz’s case presented in court reasons for not using information.
Among them, the authority registered Ortiz’s vehicle as an entry into his home without a court order.
Ortiz’s defense sought that the court could annul the evidence that emerged in his arrest, but the judge denied the request.
Prosecutor Alaniz said in the interview that on October 21 the arguments will open in San Antonio where the defendant Juan David Ortiz will be sitting on the bench.
«There we will choose the jury to start the Ortiz case,» Alaniz said. “As we explained it, the evidence does not change, nor do the participants in this case. It is only the city that has changed.”
As will be remembered, the former Border Patrol agent according to documents caused the death of several women; one of them managed to escape and was the one who filed the complaint, so the police were looking for him for the homicides.
