“Black Friday” and “Small Business Saturday” shopping season

LAREDO, TX. – The businessmen of Laredo added effort and will to promote the «Business Saturday».

Thousands of small businesses will offer attractive discounts calling residents and Mexican consumers to promote local shopping and strengthen the economy.

Gabriela Morales, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, at a press conference said that Saturday, November 26, is an attractive date.

“We are inviting the community so that small businesses have the opportunity to make their products attractive,” said Morales. “We are looking for their participation and that they not only do the shopping on Black Friday.”

MileOne, TAMIU Small Business Development Center, Laredo College Economic Development Center and Killam Enterprises have joined, as well as Polly Adams at Shoppes at Winfield Plaza.

«In the city of Laredo an average of 3,500 small businesses are registered,» said Morales. «Now they have concentrated in the north and south where growth has shown strength.»

Restaurants that need citizen support have sprung up in downtown Laredo.

About the discounts that they will offer will be a variety according to the promotion that each business has.

Without giving a discount rate, Morales explained that they are expressing themselves on the different platforms and it is significant to make purchases after Black Friday.

The conference was held in the business of Polly Adams, a leading haute couture clothing designer.
