Tema del Puente Internacional 4-5 es más viable

LAREDO, TX. – Glafiro Montemayor, quien ha sido persistente en darle vida a construcción del cruce internacional por sur Laredo, dijo que el proyecto toma forma.

Montemayor dijo que existen diálogos y conciencia con autoridades considerando que el comercio internacional no se detiene y en otras áreas de Texas se cuenta con varios puentes.

“La infraestructura siempre será necesaria cuando las relaciones comerciales marcan crecimiento”, indicó Montemayor. “Nuestro interés es abundar el crecimiento económico de nuestras ciudades”.

En la actualidad las autoridades de Webb-Laredo están conscientes que darle vida al proyecto del Puente Internacional 4-5 es garantía de seguridad al comercio internacional.

En TxDOT funcionarios indicaron que han trabajado en un plan maestro para una carretera que sorteará el área urbana y desfogar la carga comercial hacia la Carretera Interestatal 35.

Montemayor está viendo mayor interés de las autoridades federales a niveles de primer orden.

Explicó que la vicepresidenta de Estados Unidos Kamala Harris y el canciller de México Marcelo Ebrard durante la reunión económica en septiembre del 2021 marcaron interés por el proyecto.

Además, a nivel local se ha discutido el tema con mayor énfasis, así que continúa tomando su cauce el proyecto y con el crecimiento comercial siempre será necesaria más infraestructura.

Los actuales puentes se saturarán y por ello es importante continuar trabajando para concretar la construcción del Puente Internacional 4-5, dijo Montemayor.

LAREDO, TX. – Glafiro Montemayor, who has been persistent in giving life to the construction of the international crossing through South Laredo, said that the project is taking shape.
Montemayor said that there are dialogues and awareness with authorities considering that international trade does not stop and in other areas of Texas there are several bridges.
«Infrastructure will always be necessary when commercial relations mark growth,» said Montemayor. «Our interest is to abound the economic growth of our cities.»
At present, the Webb-Laredo authorities are aware that bringing the 4-5 International Bridge project to life is a guarantee of security for international trade.
At TxDOT, officials indicated that they have worked on a master plan for a highway that will circumvent the urban area and vent commercial cargo to Interstate 35.
Montemayor is seeing increased interest from federal authorities at the highest level.
He explained that the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris and the Foreign Minister of Mexico Marcelo Ebrard during the economic meeting in September 2021 showed interest in the project.
In addition, at the local level the issue has been discussed with greater emphasis, so the project continues to take its course and with commercial growth, more infrastructure will always be necessary.
The current bridges will be saturated and therefore it is important to continue working to finalize the construction of International Bridge 4-5, said Montemayor.
